I have run fully through this tutorial, and everything has worked beautifully. However, when I create test identities, I see that they can save as many notes as they want, and are never asked for payment. What step did I miss?

Yeah it’s designed this way. We’ve kept the payments part as a very rough demonstration of using the Stripe API and leave it up to the reader to use the type of feature gating they want for their app.
